刺しゅう好きな人たちの間でいま人気のピンクッション「ビスコーニュ」。フランス語で「ゆがんだ、いびつな」という意味です。立体的な八角形なので一見複雑そうに見えますが、正方形の布を巻きかがるだけで簡単に作れます。かわいい動物柄、色とりどりの花を描いたもの、少なめの色数でシックなタイプなど、クロスステッチで作るビスコーニュのピンクッション32点をすべてカラー図案で掲載。基本の仕立て方はレッスンで説明しているので、好きな図案を選んで作れます。小さな正方形15枚をつないで作るもの、正方形6枚をサイコロ型にしたもの、ハウス型など、巻きかがりで仕上げるアレンジ作品も合わせて紹介。クロスステッチの基礎ページ付き。

Biscornus are the pincushions that are very popular among embroidery fans at the moment. The French word “biscornu” means “irregular, misshapen” in English. Though it looks complicated at first glance as it is three-dimensional octagon, it is actually made by whipstitching two pieces of square fabrics together and you can make it quite easily. Includes 32 biscornu pincushions cross-stitched with pretty animals, colourful flowers or chic patterns with less colours, all in coloured charts. Provides basic techniques for making pincushions.
